Originating from the medieval period, Acland Barton was the ancestral home of the Acland Family until 17th Century. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book the original building within Acland Barton can be traced to 1155. The house maintains the grandeur of its medieval origins through the solid oak studded door welcoming you on your arrival. The impressive screened entrance passage and the striking solid oak beams throughout the house reflect the history of Acland Barton
