Val, Roddy and family welcome you to their traditional, working farm, close to the North Devon and Cornwall border where we offer quality bed and breakfast accommodation. Enjoy a delicious Devon cream tea on arrival, served in our dining room or out in the garden in fine weather using local clotted cream, jam and homemade scones. This offers an opportunity to make yourselves at home and to find out a little about Forda Farm.
Set in the heart of Ruby Country, Forda Farm nestles in a tranquil secluded valley, bordered on two sides by streams which eventually flow into the River Waldon and then on into the River Torridge. The River Torridge meanders it's way through the rolling North Devon countryside to its end at the Little White Town of Bideford.
Close to to the market town of Holsworthy and the beaches of Bude, Widemouth Bay (now with a Blue Flag!) and Crackington Haven. (Bude is 13 miles away- a drive of approximately 20 minutes.) Surfing lessons are available in Bude and Widemouth Bay.
The North Devon and North Cornish coast offer many opportunities for walking, with Tamar Lake and Roadford Lake offering a variety of water sports. The Three moors of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin moor offer a range of scenery and a variety of walking opportunities and outdoor activities such as riding and cycling.
The world famous Eden Project is within an hours drive and makes an excellent day trip. Eden Project tickets and Eden Project short Breaks can be arranged. (Just ask Val for more details) RHS Rosemoor, Docton Mill gardens, Hartland Abbey, Winsford Walled gardens and a number of gardens which open for charity can be found locally.
Relax and unwind with a glass of wine after a busy days activity in our cosy welcoming bedrooms. Simple Two-course evening meals can be offered (by arrangement only) or try one of our delightful local pubs. Ask Val for a list to try and directions or bookings can be arranged for you.
