Helen and Jaye welcome you to Twitchen Farm, our family home since 1993
Breakfast at Twitchen Farm is a treat. Jaye has been a professional cook and this is reflected in presentation and ingredients, always selecting good local, organic and fairtrade produce when possible. Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for.
The Farm is located in the Exmoor National Park and covers 50 acres of mature pasture and woodland.
Around the farm you will see sheep, horses, cats and dogs. The views are spectacular and the wildlife abundant, buzzards, red deer, barn owls and swallows are all regular visitors. Use our farm walk to explore the fields or just to get to the village.
The rooms are individual in character and decoration. All are en-suite some with baths, some with showers, some with both. There are family, double and twin rooms. Three of which are on the ground floor and five of which we allow well behaved dogs to stay in.
Eating out at the Black Venus is easy, its only a 10 minute walk through our fields to get there and then you are rewarded with good food, a selection of real ales, wines and interesting soft drinks. There is a choice of several other excellent pubs and hotels within in a 15 minute drive.
Dogs and Horses are welcome at Twitchen Farm. There are 4 stables which can be used for guests horses or for dogs which prefer to be outside.
Cyclist and Walkers have plenty of space for storing bikes and drying wet kit.
Footpaths and bridle-paths come into the village, including the Tarka trail and The McMillan Way, for the adventurous there are great walks on the open moorland.
Attractions are easy to reach, from the long sandy beaches at Woolacombe to National Trust properties, pretty Exmoor villages or family attractions like The Exmoor Zoo.
