Torrington Cavaliers Big Bonfire!

This event was originally planned for 2020 but has been postponed until Bank Holiday Saturday 28th August 2021.

Our big bonfire events are truly spectacular and world renown. The construction of the themed centre piece takes in excess of 2 years to build and the attention to detail is amazing, but we would say that!

On the night itself there will be music, fun and information about our history etc.. on the very big screen progressing the build up as the light disappears.

The spectacular starts with a massive Pyromusical fireworks display, themed to music, and fired from the ship this is an event in its own right! Then when we have cleared the cabling for the fireworks we will begin the the lighting ceremony, followed by the finale display which will be high in the sky!!! AN EVENT YOU WILL NEVER FORGET!!!

It was due to an invite from the Lord Mayor of Plymouth to attend the 350th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower in 1970 that lead to the Great Torrington Cavaliers formation with the motto “Let’s put on events the like of which Torrington has never seen before!”

2020 is the 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower sailing and our 50th so this bonfire is going to be something special. We are officially an “On Board” partner of the Mayflower 400 team who are co ordinating the national commemoration and the links with the USA and the Netherlands. Our bonfire spectacular is now part of the Mayflower 400 year of events.

Please visit north-devon-farm-holidays.co.uk for excellent accommodation around the area and we hope that you will join us for this spectacular event.
