The Lodges look out onto one of the few Dark Sky Reserves in the world! Longlands sits on the western boarder of Exmoor National Park so we are perfectly positioned to enjoy onsite wildlife and Dark Skies.

The Bedrooms

Each Lodge has a King Bedroom (sleeps 2), a Twin Bedroom (sleeps 2 over 2 single beds) and an Adult size Double Cabin Bed (sleeps 2), sleeping up to six people in total.

Also provided are hot water bottles and extra blankets to ensure you are warm whatever the weather. You are guaranteed to snuggle into a warm bed at night as this is glamorous camping after all.

Be lulled to sleep by the babble of the stream, the wind in the trees, or the patter of rain on the canvas roof.

Hear the owls calling to each other. Breathe in that fresh air and sleep soundly. Sweet dreams.

The Kitchen

Inside the Lodge and at its heart is the wood burning stove. This will keep the lodge warm in colder weather, as well as provide a means of cooking, either on top as a hob or in its spacious oven compartment (there’s even a slot for warming your plates).

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 6 seater dining table.

Cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware are provided, as well as essentials such as salt, pepper, ketchup, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, washing up liquid, kitchen roll and oven gloves.

There is also a sink and small cool box with ice bricks with which to keep food and drinks cold.

The Bathroom

Each Lodge has its own en-suite shower room and separate en-suite wash room with flushing loo and basin.

Hot water for the shower, sink and basin is provided by a wood burning boiler, that also ensures the shower room is warm and cosy.

We provide all the bath linen you should need, plus a gorgeous range of natural aromatherapy bathroom products, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand wash.

Also provided are basic essentials such as loo paper and hand towels.

The Lounge

In the Lodge lounge you will find a three seater leather vintage chesterfield sofa with a blanket box where you can play board games whilst you bask in the warmth of the wood burner.

You can’t beat the romantic atmosphere of a candlelit lodge but it is not the ideal light by which to read, write or wash up. We have fitted electrical LED lamps in the living area of the lodge to give brighter, safer and reliable lighting, as well as a reading lamp next to the sofa.

All our lodges have an electrical socket that can be used to charge phones and power medical equipment or other devices such as hairdryers. There is good mobile phone reception available throughout the Resort.

The Deck

The large deck area at the front of the Lodge has comfortable Rattan furniture (seating 6) so you can sit back and enjoy the amazing views down the valley towards the sea and watch the sun set during the day, or gaze at the star filled sky at night.

The BBQ Platform

Each Lodge has its own private BBQ area above the Lodge.

The view from the BBQ platform is quite spectacular!

There you will find a Kadai fire bowl for use as a fire pit or for BBQing, seating and a relaxing hammock.

There’s nothing better than watching the sun set from the BBQ platform, and come nightfall, you can start the firepit, hop into your very own hammock and stargaze.

Glamping with babies and toddlers

Our “Cabin Bed” converts into a cot, or there’s a travel cot if you prefer. Mattress provided, but bring a sleeping bag and favourite blanket for your baby or toddler.

Underneath the cabin bed there’s space to play. Don’t forget headphones if you want to turn it into a mini cinema! There is a plug for charging should you need it.

We also provide a high chair and melamine crockery for little ones.

Glamping with your dog

Your dog will be in heaven in one of our North Devon Glamping Lodges. With the sea a short drive away, and acres of space in our woods, curling up in front of the fire or relaxing in a shady spot on the deck will be a treat at the end of the day.

Our gated deck will keep all but the smallest dog contained.

Whilst walking around the Resort, Dogs must be kept on a lead as we have ducks and cats that roam the land. There is however one gated Wild Woodland Streamside Walk where Dogs can run around off lead.

£50 supplement per dog.
