Welcome to Lower Campscott farm where you can relax and unwind in our delightful cottages and spacious lodges on our working farm. Set in 35 tranquil acres of glorious Devon countryside, within our own private and picturesque valley overlooking Lee Bay, it is the perfect holiday destination for families, couples and groups alike.
There will be a delicious Devon cream tea with home baked scones waiting for you when you arrive and all our cottages and lodges are furnished and equipped to a high standard to offer you the comforts of home. Complete with heating and unlimited hot water from our green biomass boiler that helps to keep our carbon footprint low and your comfort levels high!
For family gatherings and group get-to-gethers we have a bright airy function room which seats 40 comfortably, more for a party or buffet. So why not book several cottages and hold your celebrations here? We can help you with the catering and our local pub, The Grampus, brews its own beer to make your party really go with a swing!
So what would you like to do on your holiday? Perhaps you would like to spend your day on the farm helping feed the animals and making friends with them, Gypsy the pony especially loves lots of attention and Tonys tractor collection is loved by small and large children alike. You could explore the farm trail and footpaths to the beach or feed the ducks and picnic by the pond whilst watching the abundant wildlife. The games room offers plenty to do with table tennis, pool, table football and lots of board games to borrow; there is a great outdoor play area and space to ride trikes, bikes and scooters or kick a football.
Only ten minutes away by car you can enjoy the family friendly, golden sandy surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde or visit Ilfracombe with its famous Victorian Tunnel beaches.
The Tarka trail offers easy cycling and is right on the doorstep so bring your bike!
Explore Exmoor, take a long day out to Lundy, the Eden project or visit one of the numerous local attractions such as the Sheepdog and Falconry displays at Borough Farm (famous for Channel 5s Mist the sheepdog) which is just up the road.
We have a large supply of ideas for days out and maps to buy or borrow in our farm shop. Just pop in and see us, where you will also find a good selection of groceries and essentials, together with delicious home-baked goodies, succulent farm produced pork, beef and lamb, our own apple juice and much more…
