Many dairy herds are calving too, and the Spring crops are being sown. A great time to visit our farms and enjoy life on a farm in the Spring, lots to see and do! The spring flowers are also in full bloom too – the snowdrops are already out,

November in North Devon.
Autumn is a beautiful time of year, especially in North Devon. The trees are magnificent in their various hues, the beaches are windy and wild, but also, this year, still warm and inviting. October in North Devon
This is the time of year to enjoy the full spectrum of activities in North Devon. Most visitors now are coming for the landscapes and many bring their dogs. This is particularly ideal, as our cafes, pubs and restaurants are especially friendly towards your fourlegged companions. I recently walked with my Cocker Spaniel a part of the South West Coastal Path, a brazing hike from Heddon’s Mouth to Woody Bay and back via the lower

The Exmoor National Park have a waymarked “Dark Sky Discovery Trail” it is 2 mile self-led route across
ARE YOU SALTED?
The Salt Path by Raynor Winn tells the moving story of Raynor and her husband, Moth, who hit the South-West Coast Path after losing everything. Along the way, Exmoor’s stunning cliffs, hidden coves, and sweeping moorland became their place of healing and inspiration.
Having read the book and now seen the film, I want to share with you the sense of belonging and connection it creates with our fabulous North Devon & Exmoor like it is “Our” story! It focuses on our fantastic coastal path where the moor meets the sea, but if you are thinking of coming to stay in North Devon, the film gives you a magical introduction to the whole area.
With 120 miles plus of the SW coast path in our area alone, it is a must for the avid walker and many of the scenes from the film are so close to and even run past many of our properties!
